In addition, the XUV400 has three driving settings (Playful, Quick, and Confident) that alter the driving feel, midrange torque, and regen braking intensity. According to Mahindra, the XUV400 can be driven with just one accelerator while the braking is handled by regenerative braking.

The XUV400's diameter is 2,600mm, the same as the XUV300's, but thanks to a revised back side, it is 205mm taller than the former vehicle (4200mm in length).
